    The most serious adverse effects affect the eye, with dose-related retinopathy as a concern even after hydroxychloroquine use is discontinued. The most common adverse effects are a mild nausea and occasional stomach cramps with mild diarrhea.

    I've just started taking Plaquenil again after a gap since last August, stopped because of an eye problem that was found to be not due to Plaquenil. I started feeling ill again in January and started Plaquenil two weeks ago. I was already a bit windy but I think this has increased, although I've never had a problem before.
