    Chloroquine lc3b

Chloroquine has been extensively used in mass drug administrations, which may have contributed to the emergence and spread of resistance. It is recommended to check if chloroquine is still effective in the region prior to using it.

Chloroquine or bafilomycin A1, two known inhibitors of autophagic flux, also increased the level of LC3B-II as tenovin-6 did. As expected, Torin 1 treatment induced SQSTM1/p62 degradation Figure. Sep 17, 2018 m Cells were allowed to attach coverslip and transfected with EGFP-LC3B plasmid and then treated with mahanine and chloroquine separately for 24 h. Images were captured by fluorescence microscope. Oct 01, 2018 Chloroquine phosphate tablets, Chloroquine phosphate, USP, is a 4-aminoquinoline compound for oral administration. It is a white, odorless, bitter tasting, crystalline substance, freely soluble inwater. Chloroquine phosphate tablets are an antimalarial and amebicidal drug.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend against treatment of malaria with chloroquine alone due to more effective combinations. In areas where resistance is present, other antimalarials, such as mefloquine or atovaquone, may be used instead.

The LC3 Antibody Kit for Autophagy includes a rabbit polyclonal antibody against LC3B that has been validated for use in fluorescence microscopy and high content imaging and analysis. Chloroquine diphosphate is also included - following treatment with this compound, normal autophagic flux is disrupted and autophagosomes accumulate as a result of the disruption in normal autophagic flux. Oct 01, 2014 It is interesting to note that the combination of chloroquine and zinc alters LC3B-II protein levels in our model system, indicating that zinc affects chloroquine's inhibitory effect on autophagy. The fact that zinc also enhances chloroquine-induced apoptosis in A2780 cells suggests that inhibition of autophagy and induction of apoptosis by chloroquine is likely a sequential event in this model system. Mar 31, 2015 LC3B-II net flux G and H was determined by subtracting the densitometric value of LC3B-II amount in samples nontreated with chloroquine LC3B-II − ChQ from the corresponding sample treated with chloroquine LC3B-II + ChQ. n ≥ 5.

The objective of this study was to determinate the prevalence of Plasmodium falciparum molecular markers that are associated with resistance to CQ and SP in Benin seven years after.
